Constructing angles using a protractor

To draw an angle using a protractor, first draw one arm of the angle. Then place the protractor on the line you have drawn, with the centre marker on the vertex or the end of the line. Read along the scale until you get to the angle you are drawing and then mark a dot.

Remove the protractor and draw a line from the vertex to the dot.

Label the angle.
